Cottage Bleu at La Cour de la Grange

This cosy French cottage is totally self contained with a living room, separate kitchen and a shower room downstairs. Upstairs there are two bedrooms, a double and single. There is also a comfortable double sofa bed in the lounge. Coal effect electric fire adds to the cosy atmosphere.

Secure off road parking and use of a laundry room, also possibility of some storage in a former stable.

The cottage is on Normandy’s ‘Côte Fleurie’ (Coast of Flowers), the northernmost region of the Pays d’Auge, renowned for it’s traditional farms, thatched timber-framed cottages and green lush countryside. We are in a quiet country location with the sandy beaches looking towards Deauville being the view from our hill-top position. The beaches are within walking distance (horse riding allowed) along calm country lanes. 30 minutes in the other direction is the first of the of the D-Day landings beaches.

Two restaurants are within an easy (flat) 10 minute walk, or a few kilometres in the car to Villers-sur-Mer or Houlgate, both charming seaside towns with all facilities, long sandy beaches, small shops, cafes and a market on several days. Both towns have a casino, but the famous Deauville Casino is only 6 kilometres further on from Villers. Fishing and Golfing facilities are within 3 kilometres.

La Cour de la Grange is on the “Cote Fleurie” (flowery coast), the northernmost region of the Pays d’Auge, renowned for it’s traditional farms and unspoilt countryside. We are a few kilometres from the Calvados cider route. in a quiet country location 10 mins from the world famous city of Deauville with it’s Casino, shops and the venue of the American film festival. The ocean and seaside town of Villers-sur -Mer and the sandy beaches looking towards Deauville is the view from our hill-top position.

The beaches, where horse riding is allowed, are within walking distance from our site, along calm country lanes and cliff-top footpaths. Half an hour or so in the other direction are the beaches of the D-Day landings and other World War 2 memorial sites. The Le Havre and Caen car ferries are less than 45 minutes drive for easy access to the UK.
