Arriving to Rediat Cor you’re welcomed by a mix of excellently preserved traditional features, and tasteful modern touches. Nicely finished sandstone walls and exposed beams typical of the Perigord region give a feeling of comfort, warmth and character complimented by the décor and calm colour palate throughout. Quality appliances and furnishings, unique artwork, books, objects d’art and nooks n’ crannies, not to mention a nicely stocked store cupboard with thoughtful essentials to get your holiday underway.
We would describe Rediat Cor as a generously sized two bedroomed property. Interestingly split over 3 levels, each level cleverly blended to the next creating a fluid space. A home where there’s plenty of room to socialise as a group, or find your own corner for quiet time …each of the bedrooms are peaceful and romantic, encouraging you to relax for just that minute or two longer.
On ground level there is a well designed kitchen and separate adjoining dining room, both of which overlook the village square and fantastic local restaurants. Heading up to the first floor via a wooden curved staircase, there are two living rooms, both spacious, light and airy rooms, one with a log burner, and the another equally cosy with with a sofa-bed and television. Both of these rooms enjoy vast valley views and if you’re lucky the occasional hot air balloon passing by.
From this level you can also gain access to a little outdoor terrace. We feel it’s the ideal place to enjoy an aperitif and people watch as people walk past to the chateau.
Finally there are two bedrooms, on the third floor. Both completely separate as accessed via their own staircase ( ideal for 2 couples sharing), each have bundles of character, spectacular views and are rather enchanting.
The bathroom is located on the ground floor of this property. Very nicely designed, with luxurious fixtures and fittings, state of the art walk in shower and a very large separate bath tub!
A few practical notes; Important to note that Rediat Cor has stairs, and they are winding, also that the bathroom is located on the ground floor level. This is a dog friendly property, any four-legged friends should be arranged upon booking. Due to the exposed stone work in this property there is occasionally more dust than usual. Finally this is a large holiday rental, meaning during the months November to April inclusive there is a fuel surcharge required which is requested on booking.
